Work on Nabasa Road extension has still not progressed after several months due to a court injunction by nearby settlers.
This is a picture of the road in Madang ten years ago. It is very bad these days.
The road leads from the Modilon Road down to the gates of Divine Word University, the Madang Teachers College and the nearby PNG Maritime College.
The extension was to create a new shorter route from the town to the Airport.
However the court action as well as other issues have forced the contractor and its machinery to sit idly as the road deteriorates, much to ire of local residents.
