Women Can Save Lives

At the recent seminar on Status of Alcohol Abuse in PNG last month, one of the interesting comments by the National Road Safety Council Director Frank Aku was that in a 1987 attitude survey towards drink driving in PNG, it was found that females were more concerned and more motivated to prevent alcohol abuse and drink driving.
 

Drink Driving still a problem in 2011

Alcohol related accidents don’t seem to end, especially in the new year.
Either that or reporting on such matters is getting better with even police releasing information on police officers drink driving offences.

Anglimp South Waghi Joint District Priority Committee has allocated K1 million to improve the electorates 300km road network.

Local MP Jamie Maxtone Graham said K1 million has been allocated out of the district’s budget to improve the road, which is counter funding to Asian Development Bank’s commitment.
